Bus trip

I always loved school, from when I was a child till the day I finished my university studies and always hoped that any children I had would also love the thrill of learning something new and the special friendships that develop with classmates. I think I got my wish with Munchkin. The worst thing that could happen to her is getting sick and that only because it would mean missing school. Like most children her age, she loves learning how things work, new words and now she’s also learning how to write and read words. Her enthusiasm isn’t limited to the curriculum however. She also adores her teacher and I get the feeling she is a bit of a teacher’s pet.

Talking about teachers, this morning I received an email from Munchkin’s with photos of a bus trip the class took recently. It was such a sweet thing of her to do. I was actually moved to tears although that might have something to do with the fact that I’m still pre-menstrual. In any case, it makes me happy to know that my daughter’s teacher takes so much interest in her students and that they are a very close-knit group of children.
