Unbelievably, we are still homebound with Robin. She started wheezing on Friday and the doctor confirmed what we already suspected. She’s got a chest infection. If Maia had been here this past week, I’d have blamed the germs she inevitably brings home from school but she wasn’t here. She’s been at my parents for 8 days now and just thinking about it makes me want to scream and cry. I miss her terribly but now it’s a matter of protecting Robin from further nasties which could end her in hospital. The poor baby is now having antibiotics, medicine to clear her chest and inhaler too. She is mostly in good spirits but when she’s poorly, she’s really really unwell, wheezing and trying to catch her breath. It’s heart-wrenching I’m telling you.
So we’re patiently waiting for some good health to come our way and for our family to be reunited. But in the meantime, we’ve been capitalising on our time alone with Robin. Oh yes we have! We’ve been teaching her more tricks than a circus animal is taught in a month (which, be it known, I am completely against). She has learned to wave goodbye and hello, she’s clapping her hands and she high-fives her dad.
Oh, I almost forgot…she also got her second tooth this weekend!
