If you live on these islands you’ll know that we only have two seasons. Winter and summer. Summer takes about eight months of the year and winter the remaining four. There is a tiny window, however, when the two seasons overlap and we get warm temperatures and insane wind/some rain simultaneously. Today is one such day. The howling of the wind is doing my head in but I was feeling hot in a long-sleeved t-shirt this morning.
This weekend, however, gave us the sunshine and warm temperatures without the wind. And that, my friends, makes for perfect weather. We could be outside without blowing away and we could leave our jackets in the car. We played on the beach, ate ice cream and cold fruit by the seaside and couldn’t stay indoors for more than a couple of hours at a stretch. Of course, the humidity was over 90%, but you can’t have everything in life.
I hope your weekend was fun, whether you had sun or snow (which has made a comeback in so many countries this weekend!).
