“A portrait of my daughters, once a week, every week, in 2015″

Maia: They went to school in their pyjamas one day this week. Only a school like theirs, known as The Happy School, could have come up with an idea like this to encourage the children to think and empathise with sick children who have to wear the PJs everyday. It was like Christmas morning at our house!

Robin: She loved leaving the house in her pyjamas! Apparently, she told whoever was willing to listen exactly how many layers of clothing she was wearing under her PJs. And that teddy bear she’s holding is Betsy, Maia’s favourite toy when she was a baby.

Ivy: She was very unsettled all week. In the end, we gave in and introduced the infamous dummy. We’re still trying to wean Robin off hers, so another dummy user in the house was the last thing we wanted. However, she has been a whole new (much calmer) baby since then and, for that alone, I am willing to face the weaning process in a couple of years.

  1. The dummy was a life-saver for me. And now, at the ripe old age of 1, Tom has decided that he no longer wants it! He just pushes it away, which I’m clinging on to the silver lining of not having to take it away myself for (because it really did used to help sooth him).
