Our wedding…17 months later

Yesterday our wedding photographer posted some photos of our wedding on her website. They come 17 months after the big day but seeing them now was even more significant. I ended up shedding a few tears, thinking of how perfect that day was and how blessed we’ve been every single day since. I might not always show it but I am truly happy with all that has happened in my life. There was a time when I was pitied (even though it happened to be one of the happiest times in my life) and when I was told things would get better. I didn’t think anything could be better than having a child, whether alone or with someone else. Well, things did get better and they keep getting better all the time. There will always be black days and even whole weeks and maybe months when everything will seem to be going wrong. When that time comes, I’ll go back to these photos and remember that happiness does exist in this life. You just have to believe in it.
